Travel: Discover the Unknown
It is said that travel broadens the mind and it is true that the more you travel the more you learn.
One of the ways to learn and grow is remove all preconceived notions that may have made you hesitate in the past and to discover the unknown.
One of the advantages of travel, sometimes it could even be from one city to another is seeing things in a new light. When you meet strangers it lets you experience things that you may have not been aware of and it is amazing how much is there to learn about how people react and adapt to their surroundings. Moreover, traveling should be done with an open mind and you can learn and discover more by doing simple activities like taking a walk around the city and observing the hustle and bustle of daily life. This will help broaden your vision and ability to gather relevant information, images, memories and ideas that would make it easier to understand the vagaries of life.
The important thing to remember is that travel should be looked at as a challenge and when you are faced with the unknown, it tests your ability to find solutions to problems whether great or small.
Travel is like a metaphor for life. When you are planning a trip, be it short distance or long distance including a lot of planning is involved that covers allocating a budget, decide on an itinerary, baggage, clothing and food, transport and other requirements to make the trip a success.
Another important aspect of travel is that we can understand more about ourselves and why we behave the way we do and who we are vis a vis others.
Travel is a test of character as we often find it difficult to accept new ideas, experiences and perception that are differnet from our own.
The trick is to accept the other persons point of view and accept that there is nothing wrong with doing things differently.
